¹⁰ And now are you going to make slaves of these people from Judah and Jerusalem? What about your own sins against the Lord your God? ¹¹ Listen to me and return these relatives of yours to their homes, for now the fierce anger of the Lord is upon you.”

¹² Some of the top leaders of Ephraim also added their opposition. These men were Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai.
